Solid Waste Management in Bais City
The city of Bais was able to solve its garbage problems by building a Waste Management Center that keeps track of the city's waste with the following main components.
- Recycling or Material Recovery Center
- Sanitary Landfill
- Water Treatment Plant
- Organic Waste Composting Center
The waste management center was inaugurated in 1997 and was the first landfill in the Visayas to be fully compliant with Republic Act 2003 or the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act.
